Dear friends,

Hope you are doing well during this period. Thank you for your support and purchasing our bird’s nest products. As a social enterprise, one of our missions is to create a positive impact in our community. 

In this newsletter edition, we would like to take the opportunity to share with you our progress in working towards our goal of giving back towards our social projects in Vietnam. 

Vietnam has been on a full lockdown across the country since 7 July 2021 due to the exponential increase in daily cases and fatality rate. Till date, things have not gotten any better. Many businesses are still shut and factories closed. With the movement restrictions, people working in the city have not been able to return back to their hometown. Many have lost their jobs and have not been able to send money back to support their families. The elderlies have also been severely affected by this crisis. 

In mid-July, we, at Pure Grace Nest, partnered with a local NGO to start a food bank project in the provinces of Dong Nai and Cai Lay. With the help of local volunteers, we’ve been able to give out food rations to the villagers fortnightly. We’re delighted to report that over 1000 households have been blessed with daily necessities to tide them through until the situation gets better. 

It pains my heart to see so many people going through this tough period. I sincerely hope that things will get better and many will be able to resume back to work.
